Kyrgyzstani Nurzat Nurtaeva won a gold medal at U23 World Wrestling Championships, currently underway in Novi Sad, Serbia. The UWW website says.
In the 72-kilogram weight class, she defeated American wrestler Jasmine Dolores Robinson in the final.
Previously, the Kyrgyzstani defeated athletes from Germany, Russia, and Japan.
Another Kyrgyz athlete, Kaiyrkul Sharshebaeva, will compete for bronze today. Her opponent will be a wrestler from Turkey.
