The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has submitted draft amendments to the regulation governing the circulation of veterinary drugs for public discussion.
According to the proposed amendments, the retail sale of prescription drugs will be permitted only with a veterinarian’s prescription.
Furthermore, it is proposed to ban the prophylactic use of chemotherapeutic antibacterial veterinary drugs, as well as their use to stimulate the productivity of farm animals.
