Mock figures of schoolchildren have been placed near pedestrian crossings by schools in Jaiyl district of Chui region. According to the Road Safety Department, the installation began today, September 1.
The initiative is aimed at preventing child injuries and road accidents involving schoolchildren. Traffic inspectors expressed hope that the figures will encourage drivers to be vigilant and avoid speeding near educational institutions.
